So, Barack Obama won the Nobel peace price, a bit surprising, huh?
I hope he can find a way to take on a role as a peace maker.

I love  Neil Patrick Harris so much! The best Emmy host ever. His opening number was awesome - and when the Dr. Horrible bit came, I couldn't believe it. It was 4. AM and I tried not to wake my sister by Squeeeing and having a fangirl-crazy-moment.
My biggest favorites didn't win, like the Office. Hello! it's so much funnier than 30 rock! grrr. stupid jury. Family Guy deserves lots of emmys too, that show is genius. However, My favorite moments were when Kristin Chenoweth won (I love her, she's so cute) and when the Daily Show won, and Jon said that Neil was a great host. *big grin*

Today my teeth hurts - and I'm  crying over the expensive dentist bill... poor me... I need to stop eating sweets :(

I just watched the Tonys with my sister. The end of the Shrek-bit made us LOL, a "parody" of Wicked. -> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LgPDKiJ4ckM
and also, NPH was great :D

And what's going on in Iran? All the people protesting are so awesome.

Yes! my teacher just mailed me and said that my master's essay can be submitted.
YAY! I shall celebrate this week-end :) It doesn't mean I will pass, but there is a chance that I will :) *happy camper* And Yay for the last episode of Project Runway Canada. Biddell was there and judged *fangirlSQUEEE*. I like that Sunny won, he was definitely the most talented this season.

On a more sad note: all the people in the piratebay-case got convicted to prison and to pay a ridiculous amount of money. Damn the swedish justice system! *sigh*
Now I'm off for my daily dose of HD fanfiction. *g*

Dear LJ,
I am writing to you from my laptop, in my bed, not in my home, in my parents home... my sisters old bed. anyhow, it's very difficult... because it's small. the laptop.
I've changed my LJ layout - and I love it! made by tasha. I've also changed my profile, and my myspace-page!! http://myspace.com/drijfwa So, I've been busy. Not writing my essay. Mohaha.
hmm. tomorrow is my brothers birthday (that's why I'm here). I'm giving him Sienfeld season 8. And tomorrow is also the day of the Oscars nominations. Squee! I hope I can see that somewhere. I'm going for  a long walk tomorrow morning - with our dog. I've missed him so much. And now Obama is president, god bless Israel. In Uppsala hundreds of people are protesting against Israel (In support of Palestine). Shows how diffrent things are. I guess. Not that I'd know. In sweden you get a golden bug if you make the best movie or acting-performance of the year. haha, a big bug. that's fun.

Bon Courage!
A.

You'd be surprised to know how quickly one can mess up the day... I used to get up at 7 to go to the library for five weeks, and  went to bed at 8! like an old person or a small child... But just a few days later I'm back to getting up at noon and going to bed way too late because I'm watching old daily show-episodes. Yesterday I watched the election in swedish television (which I couldn't see when it aired, because I was tired), It did make me cry when Obama won, but then again I cry for almost anything. It's cool that americans have an intelligent, normal president soon. Yay! He is still way to conservative for me, but hey, what are you gonna do.
I have so many things to do in school, THREE things at once, and it gets me all stressed up and I can't focus on anything, which is so.... bad, I really need to get everything together and start working. sigh. Today it's raining and snowing at the same time in Uppsala. That's kind of nice.

My time at the Economics library is up. Now I have 2,5 weeks left at another library, "My library" the humanities. I hope it will be just as fun. Yesterday I discovered that Qaf is finances in the swedish SAB classification system. Mhm.

So, the election in US is coming up, and I'm kind of excited. It's always such a circus. I'd vote for Obama. Seems like the lesser of two evil, not that they are evil (well not all of them), but the system is just weird... I can't believe how many votes a superconservative person can get. I mean who are these people who vote republican? and when will they die? Sarah Palin is a very strange person, but it would be "fun" if she became the president. Kind of unexpected. Not that I like anything she stands for, but it would be nice with someone a little less experienced. I'm sick of old men atm. SIGH. I don't know. We will see. I want a "Jon Stewart for president"-shirt.  Hihi, yesterday I bought a "Wizard angst"-shirt. yay 4 me and my weird t-shirts. Oops, I have to run. hugs&kisses.

10 reasons gay marriage is wrong.

01) Being gay is not natural. Real Americans always reject unnatural things like eyeglasses, polyester, and air conditioning.

02) Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall.

03) Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behavior. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage contract.

04) Straight marriage has been around a long time and hasn't changed at all; women are still property, blacks still can't marry whites, and divorce is still illegal.

05) Straight marriage will be less meaningful if gay marriage were allowed; the sanctity of Britney Spears' 55-hour just-for-fun marriage would be destroyed.

06) Straight marriages are valid because they produce children. Gay couples, infertile couples, and old people shouldn't be allowed to marry because our orphanages aren't full yet, and the world needs more children.

07) Obviously gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only raise straight children.

08) Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are imposed on the entire country. That's why we have only one religion in America.

09) Children can never succeed without a male and a female role model at home. That's why we as a society expressly forbid single parents to raise children.

10) Gay marriage will change the foundation of society; we could never adapt to new social norms. Just like we haven't adapted to cars, the service-sector economy, or longer life spans.
